Park City Polo

Holy

Macaroni.

I am tired.

I got back from Park City just a little bit ago...

We are competing in a tournament.

We played THREE GAMES IN A ROW.

I thought I was going to DIE.

Coming from a distance swimmer...

that's hard to do.

I'm so glad that I handled it and scored and swam like crazy.

During the games

Whitney Durans and I switch off who sprints for the ball.

On one of the times I was sprinting...

during the second game??...

The girl and I tied so the ref made us do a jump ball.

 She won :(

I need to work on treading higher

to make up for having such short arms.

Having to do all those three games

and sprint like crazy has killed me.

Afterwards, the team went to Subway.

I like that place :)

Buuuttt... I felt bad cause I told Brad to bug off.

I actually like him.

He's a cool guy.

I feel bad being mean to a friend.

Then the ride home... -_-

Ugh.

I'm gonna eat ice cream then go to bed.

I don't wanna go out with friends tonight.

 

French Banquets

Hm.

Who should be doing French homework?

Yeah.

Me.

I have to use an overhead and speak in 

passe compose (past tense) 

and imparfait (imperfect tense)

 The trouble is..... 

I have a hard time speaking them both together.

I generally choose one or the other and stick to it.

This could get interesting.

On a brighter note!

Today was the Orem Highschool Swim Banquet.

We ate food...

and talked....

and we gave out awards...

and guess what award I got?

Sophomore Swimmer of the Year!

 

I thought for sure that Mckenzie Wells would get it,

since she is ABSOLUTELY amazing.

But instead she got Swimmer of the Year.

I love having her in my year,

cause she is so nice and a great swimmer,

but sometimes it is hard when there is no chance

ever

of beating her.

But I love having her on my team,

so I can deal with losing :D

Well... Back to homework.

Day Back

I'm going to die.

 

I just ate ice cream... and it was so good.

I am full though.

 

Today I went to water polo practice.... 

maybe not the best idea.

My sinuses KILL and I am exhausted.

If I had gone to swim... I probably would be even more dead.

Tomorrow I am going back to the doctors though,

so hopefully I'll be back up and runnin' soon! (cross fingers...)

 

Let me just say, 

it bugs me how I barely know the guys on my polo team, 

(and kinda the girls) 

and already everyone else is pairing off. 

There are some freaking hot guys on there.

The hottest (in my opinion and the opinion of the girls from my school) goes to Timp View.

TALK ABOUT A BABE!

He is tan, with great caramel hair, and he is muscular, but skinny.

The only problem with him is that he just doesn't care enough to go for one of the girls! 

He just doesn't care.

I wish he would care.

He is too fine to NOT care.

Maybe he will start caring soon.... Hopefully :D

I need some new boy fun.

School tomorrow again....

Starbucks and WSI

Sooo....

I am bad.

I just had a WONDERFUL chai frap from Starbucks....

I love Starbucks.

Like, I would work there if I were old enough.

Having it everyday would be no big deal.

Church was tedious today. 

I woke up feeling like I was getting sick... again,

so it made it hard to pay attention.

I'm sure the talks were good, and I liked Sunday School, but still hard.

One day I will repent. 

Till then,

I plan on reviewing lifeguarding stuff cause next week I have an inservice to start working again!!!

OH!

And I took the WSI final test 

(even though I missed class last week)

and I PASSED!!!!

So once I get my class made up, I am gonna teach swim lessons!

Isn't that fun? I think it is.

This summer is going to be so awesome and I am going to love working.

No joke. 

I love my job, and adding in another job that is more fun and pays more will be blissful! (A dollar an hour more too from what I hear)

Got My Herrr Did :)

Guess who got a haircut!? 

MEEEE!

I haven't had one since....... Before school started.

I think I deserved one. 

My mom got me an appointment with her hairstylist at a place called

Amara.

They are a rather cutesie store. Definitely for women.

It was way busy, and I was lucky to get in.

The wallpaper was way busy. Cute, but busy, for a whole building.

The front lobby had clothes from DownEast Basics (waaay cute.)

I got my bangs (which I a growing out) trimmed nicely,

and I got my ends trimmed.

I like it :)

Now I need to decide if I wanna get a perm on part of my hair...

:S I CAN'T DECIDE!!!!

See, most of my hair has a lovely curl.

But the the top layer is straightish...

It kills me!

My mom doesn't want me to get a perm (had a bad experience),

but I think it could be good...

I need opinions.

But who do I trust to ask?

No one so far.

Water polo game tomorrow :/

I'm not allowed to play yet.

But then there is a team party...

Fun ;)

 

Being sick is waaay boring! 

I layed in bed till like 10 am, then my sister got me to go upstairs

where we watched Lie To Me (awesome show).

Then I arranged her ride to water polo practice, 

since I am too sick to go.

She threw a hissy fit.

I called my mom and got her to make Jackie (Jacqueline, my sister) to stop.

After she left for practice I just watched TV...

and watched....

and watched.

I feel so lazy.

When my sister came home from practice 

she had a get well card for me from my TEAM!

Reading it made me just about cry laughing! 

I have really grown to love those people. 

When my dad finally got home, 

I went downstairs to lay in bed. 

After like 4 hours I came upstairs and played on the 

iPad 2

Which I LOVE!!!

Then Gina (from my team) texted me, 

and Gabe the Babe (my Narwhal buddy) called me.

They made the night so much better, so I could sleep.

I hate being bored and tired and sick.

First Post For a New Blog!

Okay so I am Jordan Barker :)

but since I hope we can be friends,

you can call me Jordie. 

I go to Orem High School (our colors are blue and gold...)

and I am a squashmore.

It is sooo hard going to school there. 

The classes are easy, 

but I only have a few close friends there.

Most of my friends go to our rival school 

 which is Mountain View.:o

Sometimes I feel like I am a traitor for being so buddy-buddy with MV, but then I remember that people at Orem aren't exactly the nicest, so I don't feel as bad.

I am 16 and a half... 

really almost 17. 

I have dark blonde, curly hair, 

and blue eyes. 

My mom calls me porcelain sometimes 

cause I am so white. 

For that reason I have been tanning a few times... 

It isn't as effective as I'd like...

I am a varsity swimmer, and last year 

my water polo team won our division at state. 

Most of my time is spent in the water.

I have been sick since before Christmas, 

and I am stuck in bed on antibiotics.

If I don't get better soon I am going to freak out.

Anastasiya Liubarets 

(I hope I spelled her last name right...), 

Levi Brown, 

and Caitlin Bailey. 

I go to school with only one of those people. :(
